Anthony Robert Micucci

January 30, 1989 — January 29, 2023

Westminster

Anthony Robert Micucci, 33, passed away at home in Westminster, Colorado, on
Sunday, January 29, 2023. Anthony was born on January 30, 1989 in Hudson, NY to
Jane Micucci and the late Richard Micucci.

Anthony spent his early years in South Florida where he enjoyed collecting seashells on
the beach and climbing palm trees. When Anthony moved to Saugerties, NY, he
created friendships that would last a lifetime. He enjoyed reminiscing about times with
friends playing video games, skateboarding, building the tree fort, school lip sync
performances, playing pranks, going to metal shows and festivals, creating music as
part of Borderline Bunk, camping trips, and SE gatherings. Anthony’s favorite family
memories to share from his childhood and teen years included hanging out on his dad’s
driving range, eating his mom’s home cooked chicken cutlets and Sunday gravy, setting
up booby traps for his cousin and sisters, loving on all the family pets, and family trips to
Lake George.

Anthony and Shayna met at a party in 2012 and became inseparable. They loved each
other fully and married in 2014. Prior to moving to Colorado in 2013, Anthony and
Shayna took a 5-week cross country trip to explore the US, and traveled together in
Israel. In Colorado, Anthony and Shayna built a life together: adopting and fostering
senior dogs, RV remodeling and living, gardening, supporting each other through
school, attending yearly Avett Brothers’ concerts, raising chickens, hosting dinners with
friends, and frequent trips and visits with loved ones.

In 2017, Anthony founded Wilbur and Sons LLC, his lawncare and landscaping
business. As a committed business owner and extremely hard worker, Anthony
provided skilled services, which included but are not limited to plumbing, remodeling, tile
work, gutter cleaning, Christmas lights installation, and snow removal. He was well
respected by clients and the surrounding community, and experienced many successful
years.

Anthony enjoyed everything outdoors that Colorado had to offer including camping,
climbing, slacklining, hiking, clearing trails, snowboarding, fishing, and bird watching. He
was incredibly talented: he liked to paint, do woodworking projects, yoga, and play his
guitar. He had a way of sparking joy through a comedic presence that came with ease,
and a magnetism and influence on the people around him. When Anthony could not
express himself through words, he expressed himself through music. He was
completely and totally uniquely himself, and he showed his love and care through
action.

Anthony was predeceased by his father, Richard (Wilbur), in 2015, and by his sister-in-
law, Danielle in 2018. Anthony is survived by his beloved wife and greatest supporter,
Shayna and their senior dog Locket. Additionally, Anthony is survived by his mother,
Jane, parents- in-law, Jeff and Karen, sisters and sister-in-law, Anna, Angela and
Rebecca, his dearest cousin Nicole, and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. In
addition to his family, Anthony also leaves behind his godson, CJ Shocklee, and all the
lifelong friends that he loved so much.
