Arlene Sherry Katz-Nolke

Arlene Katz Nolke died of heart failure at the HCA Ocala Regional Hospital on August 4th, 2023 at the age of 72.

Arlene is survived by her mother, Ruth; husband Jeffrey; daughters Melissa and Jillian; sisters Ellyn, Barbara, Lori, and Donna. Arlene is preceded in death by her father, Irwin.

Arlene was born on July 15, 1951 in New York State. She married Jeffrey Nolke, whom she has been with for over 50 years. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on July 30th, 2023. Arlene spent the majority of her career working in bookkeeping for music management, where she made friends all along the way. After living in Los Angeles since she was 18 and raising their two daughters,  Melissa and Jillian, Arlene and Jeffrey moved to Florida in 2015.

Arlene is remembered as strong, determined, generous, loving, and loyal. Arlene was brave, never backed down from obstacles thrown in front of her, and she was always there for the people she loved.

Arlene was passionate about helping others; she was an active participant in Guardian Ad Litem, where she built lasting relationships with children she cared for. Everyone who knew Arlene knew her for her generosity and support. Arlene was an active member in the Mah Jong community in Florida, and she loved to spend time with her friends for weekly games. Arlene’s charisma and humor will be missed by those who loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Arlene's name to Voices for Children of North Central Florida.
