Barry Burt

After many years of a complexity of health issues, Barry Middleton Burt succumbed to physical frailties and Spirit’s call to home.  As a devoted son, husband, and brother, sweet gentle Barry was the essence of integrity, compassion, generosity of self and spirit, kindness and humility.  Always optimistic, he lived in an expression of gratitude and joy; an inspiration of resilience and perseverance. A skilled technician in the medical instrument equipment field, Barry also spent many years as a dedicated caregiver for his Father Emmanuel, his Mother Audré, and his Wife Rose.  Barry’s open heart, gifts of giving, and keen sense of humor carried him throughout many trials and tribulations, and he was a joy to everyone.  Barry is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Bob and Dr. Gale DeGroot, Lakeland; first cousins brothers Steve and Arthur Segal; cousin Robin Schutt; 50+years friends, Roger Horenstein, Mary Lou Doepker; nephew Brady DeGroot; friends Dr. Stephen and Dr. Kenice Grand, Rev. Patricia Eisenhauer, Dr. Teddy Tarr; lifelong friends Sue and Marty Plotkin, brothers Victor and Morris Fishman. Barry will be both very deeply missed and greatly celebrated by all of us who loved him and received his love back a thousand-fold. Donations in memory/celebration of Barry would be welcomed for his lifelong charity:  SmileTrain.org,  doctors who provide surgeries world-wide  for children with cleft palates and lips.
