Beth McLaughlin

Beth M. McLaughlin, beloved 73 year old mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and special friend of many, died peacefully April 4, 2012, surrounded by family, after suffering a stroke March 5, 2012. She is survived by children: Joan (Eddie) Lugo of Baltimore, MD, Mark (Mindy) McLaughlin of Tampa, FL and John (Marielena), Anne and Ted McLaughlin all of Miami; adoring grandchildren: Katrina McLaughlin of Miami and Luke and Madison McLaughlin of Tampa, FL; siblings: David (Suzanne) Carroll of Laguna Beach, CA, Meg (Jack) Stencel of Cary, NC and Roger (Susan Marantz) Carroll of Columbus, OH as well as 2 nieces and 5 nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Roger and Lillian Carroll, in 2001.

Beth was a paraprofessional with Dade County Public Schools for almost 40 years. Over the last 2 decades, she worked at Ruth Owens Kruse Education Center, a specialized center school which provides educational and therapeutic services to emotional behavioral disabled students.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Louis Catholic Church 7270 SW 120 Street, Miami at noon on April 28, 2012. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Donnah's Fund at Women in Distress (www.womenindistress.org) or your favorite charity in her memory.
