Byron Melvin Samuel

Samuel, Byron Melvin, 81, of Sun City Center, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025.

Byron was born on May 13, 1944, in New York, NY.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, known for his love of baseball and reading.  Byron is survived by his wife of 58 years, Fillis (nee Levine), children, Jayme, Stacy and husband Jeff, and Jodi and husband Paulou, his grandchildren, Haili and Alyssa, and his great-granddaughter Leila.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  A private funeral service will be held in Sarasota.
