Cynthia Jacobson

JACOBSON, Cynthia June, age 69 of Tampa passed away, Friday, June 8, 2018 surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. Cynthia was born in Lakewood, Ohio and came to Tampa to attend USF after studies at the University of Tennessee. She had an affinity for the fine arts as an artist and musician and passed her passion along as a teacher at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center. She loved family life, caring for her pets, gardening and time spent at the beach.  She was past president of the Beach Park Women's Club and Las Damas Dearte, member of  Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club and a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek. Survivors include her beloved husband of 49 years, Mel Sonny Jacobson, sons, Robert Jacobson (fiance' Michelle Lai) and David Jacobson, sister, Corliss Conway, sister-in-law, Sonya Jacobson and step brother-in-law, John (Vicki) Jacobson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018, 2:00 PM at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 W. Swann Avenue, Tampa. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Schaarai Zedek or a charity to support the arts.
