Cynthia Wolfe

Cynthia Wolfe peacefully passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 91.  She was  surrounded by loved ones to comfort her as her journey ended.  She is survived by her children, Andrew Wolfe, Les Wolfe and his wife Ruth, and Randi Risman and her husband John Wender; her grandchildren David Risman and his wife Lindsey LaForge, Alex Risman and his wife Elizabeth Edel, Michael Wolfe, and Emily Wolfe; as well as two beautiful great grandchildren London and George.  

Born in the Bronx, NY, she led a life filled with international travel, generous volunteer efforts, and tireless years of teaching remedial reading.  In her truly coveted roles in life, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Married to her late husband Bernie for 55 years, they enjoyed travel adventures around the world, and devoted their energy to family and to their shared work as educators.

One of the most prominent highlights of Cynthia’s volunteer work was her role as a Guardian Ad Litem, dedicating her time and energy to the protection of vulnerable children.  She and Bernie also spent countless hours offering assistance at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL.  Focused on lifelong learning, in her retirement she audited courses at a local college and continued expanding her knowledge of the world, other cultures, and historical events.

Cynthia will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and will be remembered for her generosity, drive to help others, and desire to love and support those whom she valued most.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa, FL would be most appreciated.
