David Picca

Picca Ph.D., David, 100 of Tampa, passed away December 15, 2022. He was born in the small, rural farming town of Cervinara, in the Province of Avellino, Campania, Italy. He emigrated to the United States with his beloved wife Mary and spent his final years in Tampa with his family.  

David valued education, was a prolific reader, had a passion for gardening and soccer. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, who he adored.  

He is survived by his wife, Mary; son, David; daughter-in-law, Barbara; twin grandsons, Luka and  Lorenzo; and brother, Victor.  

A special thanks to the staff of Aventura Bay Place and Suncoast Hospice who provided care for David.
