Dorothea L. Dubler, born November 23, 1914 passed away on October 27, 2015. Dorothy was an award winning poet, artist and art educator. A member of Phi Kappa Phi and Kappa Delta Pi Honor Societies and is a founding member and past president of the First Florida Poets Chapter of the Florida State Poets Association. She wrote twenty two published poem books that are presently housed in the Special Collections area of the Robert Manning Strozier Library at FSU. Her partner in life Josephine Sond passed away in 2008 but was a major part of Dorothy's life for over seventy years. Some years ago she wrote a poem entitled: In Passing that closes with the words... In Passing I shall hope my smile lifts hearts that cry, "Make life worthwhile". All who met her loved her smile and energy and she leaves this world having made it a better place through her words and deeds.
