Dr. Diego Angelo Bognolo

BOGNOLO, Dr. Diego Angelo, 83, of Tampa, passed away on October 28, 2023. Diego attended the University of Rome Medical School and graduated as an M.D. in 1964. From 1969-1972 he completed his General Surgery Residency at Dartmouth Affiliated Hospitals, from 1972-1973 he completed a Cardiothoracic Residency at Boston University, from 1973-1974 he completed his Cardiothoracic Residency at the University of Miami. Diego opened up his own private practice in Cardiothoracic Surgery in Tampa, Florida, from 1974-1999. He was a founding member of NASPE in 1979 and he retired from active practice in 1999. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Bognolo, two daughters, Anna Bognolo (Ramesh), Kathryn Bognolo-Valentine (Eric), his Companion, Maureen Breed, and his brother, Angelo Bognolo, and 5 cherished grandchildren.
