Edna Cole Wilson

Edna Cole Wilson was born on September 12, 1956 to the late Robert Cole Sr. and Cora B. Newton in Enterprise, AL. Her father, brother (Robert Cole Jr.) and son (James “Drew” Wilson) preceded her in death. On September 20, 1975, Edna was united in Holy Matrimony to Joe A. Wilson. God smiled upon this union and blessed them with two wonderful children. She shared 27 years of military service with her husband in the United States Air Force. She often took on the role as primary caregiver to her children while her husband was deployed…job well done. Edna leaves to cherish her memory a caring and devoted husband of 46 years, Colonel (USAF Ret) Joe A. Wilson, Tampa, FL, daughter, Ebony L. Wilson, Tampa, FL, daughter-in-law, Ellen L. Wilson, Land O’Lakes, FL, grandson, Jaden A. Wilson, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL, granddaughter, Gabriella E. Wilson, Land O’ Lakes, FL, mother, Cora B. Newton, Enterprise, AL, and mother-in-law, Lessie M. Wilson, Enterprise, AL; two sisters, Juanita Bruce, Dothan, AL, and Margaret Foster (Johnny), Enterprise, AL; three brothers, Jimmie Cole (Kewa), Prattville, AL, Willie Kilpatrick (Christine), Wetumpka, AL and Kelvin Fuller (Danyelle), Tuscaloosa, AL; two step-sisters, Carla Hilliard, Enterprise, AL and Delmarshea Wilson (Larry), Manassas, VA; two step-brothers, Sidney E. Fuller Jr., Texas, and Gary Fuller, Enterprise, AL; three brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, one aunt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. In lieu of flowers, the Wilson Family suggests a memorial donation in Edna’s name to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.

The graveside service will be streamed around 12:00 PM following the church service.
