Justin Goldstein

GOLDSTEIN, Justin Matthew, age 20, of Tampa died Wednesday, November 14, 2007. Justin was a compassionate, huggable young man with a smile as bright as the sun and eyes as green and as warm as the Gulf of Mexico. He had an intuitive, sensitive, giving heart inside a body that would make you feel completely protected. Children loved Justin; people often called him a "kid magnet." From the time Justin was five months old, he held a ball in his hand and baseball was his true love. He was an All Star at Citrus Park Little League where his name along with the team manager, his dad Jeff, and those of his teammates and coaches are honored as the 2003 Senior League District Champions. Justin liked to help younger kids with their game and often volunteered to umpire. He was an avid angler with a strong opinion against long line commercial fishing; many on the water knew him as Grouperdiggin. He loved the water; his favorite book was The Hungry Ocean by Linda Greenlaw. Justin graduated 102nd in the class of 2005 at Sickles High School and was a sophomore at FAU. He was a dedicated employee to several restaurants where he prided himself on his efforts to make sure all of his customers were truly 'wowed" by his service, not just satisfied. He was the friend you could call on day or night for help. He was a devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin. In his passing, he gave his beautiful green eyes so that others may receive the gift of sight through corneal transplant. We will remember Justin and celebrate the special gift he was to our world on the Gulf of Mexico. Services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 AM at Reddington Shores Fishing Pier at Reddington Beach.
