FRYE, Kevin Ira age 48 of Brandon died December 25, 2016. Kevin came to the Bay Area in 1972 from his native New York. He was Graduate of USF where he earned his master’s degree in Music Conducting after his undergraduate studies in Trumpet performance. He was a professional Trumpet player and the leader of The Mike Eisenstadt Band. He was an active and valued member of Tampa’s Jewish Community and through his music he shared “simchas” and bringing them joy by sharing his special talents for many years. A member of the Florida Wind Band and was the orchestra Director at Madison Middle School sharing his love of music for generations to come. Survivors include his beloved wife of 24 years Christina, his parents Michael and Gail Frye of Gulf Port, his daughters and son- in- law Kelsey and Brandon Shepherd and Kyra Frye, cherished grandson Brantly all of Brandon, his brother and sister- in- law Marc and Jacquie Frye of Las Vegas, NV, his nephews Adam and Joseph, and his dogs Macy, Molly, and Chuck. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 27th at 1pm at Congregation Schaarai Zedek , 3303 W Swann Ave Tampa, interment will follow at Hillsboro Memorial Park in Brandon. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Moffitt Cancer Center or to a college fund being established for his grandson. Shiva will be held 6pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week (Dec. 27, 28, and 29th) at Congregation Beth Shalom, 706 Bryan Rd. Brandon, FL 33511. * Extended Shiva will take place at Gail & Michael's home, 6313 Vista Verde Drive E, Gulfport, FL 33707 on Saturday, Dec 31 at 7:00PM, and Sunday & Monday, Jan. 1st and 2nd at 6:15 PM.
