Louis Lubet

LUBET, Dr. Louis, age 92, lifelong resident of Tampa, died in his sleep on July 1st, 2016. He attended Hillsborough High School and the University of FL and served proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Dr. Lubet practiced podiatric medicine in Tampa until his retirement. He was a founding member of the Tampa Woodcrafters Club and a member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom. He worked at the Veterans Hospital and Tampa General Hospital for several years after his retirement. Dr. Lubet was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Pearl Lubetzky of Tampa his two sisters, Mickey Kasriel & Annalee Markowitz and his beloved wife of over 30 years, Janet. He is survived by his son and daughters-in-law, Judge Marc & Carla Lubet of Winter Park, FL., and Dr. Cary & Claudia Lubet of Ft. Pierce, FL., and his daughter and son-in-law Holly an RN & Joseph Torina, of Longwood, FL., grandchildren Lorri Lubet, Jeni Lane (Stephen), Juan and Danny Morales and one great grandson. He is also survived by Elaine Laso, his friend of many years and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Sunday, 10:00 AM at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
