Marc Benware

Marc Adam Benware, 43, died Friday, February 22, 2008 in Miami, Florida. Born February 26, 1964 in Boston, Massachusetts, he is survived by his longtime love, Doris Berriz; father Michael Benware of Sarasota; sister Michelle Dickson and husband Todd; sister Ashley Gerace and husband Ken; nieces and nephews Brittany, Michael, Jaye Lynn, Amber, and Kenny; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Marc was preceded in death by his loving mother Phyllis Borkum Benware, grandparents Anne and David Borkum, and Helen and Maurice Benware. Marc survived the Hillsborough County School system and went on to attend the University of Florida. He then pursued and established a successful real estate career in South Florida. Marc had many great loves in his life including the Gators, Red Sox, Celtics, ESPN Sportscenter, strong water pressure, cold milk, white meat chicken, and of course his never ending pride and joy, Elle, the wonder dog. A Memorial service will take place at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday (today) at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 W. Swann Ave., Tampa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 3507 E. Frontage Road, Suite 300, Tampa, FL 33607. Marc touched many lives and will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
