Mini Wolf

WOLF, Mini H.J., of Tampa, passed away on Friday morning September 13, 2013. Mini was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1917. She was a graduate of Southern Connecticut University, where she earned her teaching degree in Special Education. She loved working with special needs children and they loved being with her. She was promoted to Director of the school a few years later. When she retired, Mini and her late husband, Harold Wolf, moved to Florida and became active members in their community. After joining Congregation Kol Ami, she volunteered her time for many years working in the gift shop. Once again, she was able to interact with the children of the congregation and the many members who came to know her as "Min". She was very proud of her Jewish heritage and attended services on a regular basis. Mini was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and mentor to those whom she loved. Mini received many accolades during her life including; being instrumental in the procurement of funding the original JCC building that now houses our Kol Yeladim Religious School. Mini was actively involved in the Kol Ami Sisterhood Gift Shop structure which was built, furnished and expanded under her leadership. Through her generosity, there was many beautification projects that enhanced the Synagogue's Sanctuary. In 2001, Mini was awarded the Woman of Valor Award by Kol Ami Sisterhood for her many years of service and dedication to Sisterhood. Mini was selected as Kol Ami's Woman of Distinction in 2008. Her second husband, Harold Wolf preceded Mini in death. Survivors include her beloved sons, Richard E. Jacobson of Tierra Verde and Martin G. Jacobson of Tampa, Stepson, Jim Wolf of New Haven, Grandchildren, Todd A. Jacobson, Marc and Lisa Jacobson, Caron and Sean Killeen and Matthew Jacobson, Great-Grandchildren, Justin Jacobson, Jordan Jacobson, Eric Jacobson, Ethan Killeen and Casey Killeen and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Congregation Kol Ami, 3919 Moran Road, Tampa, FL 33618 on Sunday, September 15, 12:00 noon. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mini H J Wolf Fund c/o Hillel School of Tampa, 2020 West Fletcher Avenue, Tampa, FL 33612, or Jacobson-Wolf Scholarship Fund c/o Congregation Kol Ami and or LifePath Hospice.
