Robert Hayden Smith

SMITH, Robert Hayden "Bob", 80, of Tampa, passed away on December 26, 2022. Bob was an incredible teacher for 46 years, Environmental Education and Biology being his passion. 

Bob was a founding member of LEEF (League of Environmental Educators in Florida), founded in 1981 and still going strong today. He served in many positions on the leadership board. He was a passionate and talented guitar player who enjoyed jamming with his buddies. 

Anyone that knew Bob will remember him as being kind, compassionate, generous, and a lover of all animals. He will be sorely missed by so many family members and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Ivy Lutzker, their beloved dogs, Trudy and Frankie, father-in-law, Marvin Lutzker, sister-in-law, Stefanie Lutzker Lannon (Jimmy), daughter, Rebecca Taylor (Dave), and granddaughter, Hannah Faith Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions be made to an animal charity or a charity of one’s choice.
