GOLDING, Roberta Marks, 91 of Tampa, died December 21, 2012. Mrs.Golding was born in Tampa and grew up in Tampa and Clearwater. She graduated from Florida State College for Woman with a degree in English. Mrs. Golding was an artist and was very passionate about politics which is what kept her going for 91 years. Her Philanthropy, from the USF Stuart S. Golding Endowed Chair in African Art/Contempary Art, Tampa Jewish Federation, Weinberg Village, Tampa Musuem of Art, the Straz Center, Holocaust Museum, Congregation Schaarai Zedek, Planned Parenthood and numerous other organizations, was a driving force in her life. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stuart S. Golding. Survivors include, daughter and son-in- law, Sara Golding Scher & David of Tampa, sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Golding & Bonnie Ellinger of New Mexico, Ken & Patricia Golding of Washington, DC, five grandchildren, Simon and his wife Lauren Scher, Ali Scher and fiance Olivia Choate, Jennifer Scher, Alejandro Golding and Greg Golding and one great-grandchild, Onyx Scher. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 4:00pm at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 W. Swann Ave, Tampa, followed by a reception and Shiva service at Congregation Schaarai Zedek. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Congregation Schaarai Zedek or Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida, 736 Central Ave, Sarasota, FL 34236.
