Sandra Bruck

BRUCK, Sandra Jacob, age 69, of Tampa, Florida passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015. She will be remembered for her loving and fierce devotion to family and friends. She relished having them close by and spent many holidays hosting memorable dinner parties for them. Even as her health diminished, she maintained these traditions with the help of her husband, family and friends.

Sandra grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and was the daughter of Charles and Ruth Jacob (both deceased). The eldest of three children, she was courageous and confident, taking time during her college years to explore life in the Big Apple. Upon her return to Cleveland, she met her husband, David, originally from New York when he was attending dental school at Case Western. They moved to Tampa in 1974, where they raised four children, all Berkeley Preparatory School graduates and built a thriving dental practice.

Along with her loving husband of 43 years, Sandra is survived by four devoted children - a daughter, Carly Bruck Qureshi (Bilal) of Chicago and 3 sons, Jonathan (Cristel) of San Francisco, Kyle of Chicago, Chas (Taryn) of Tampa- as well as her younger sister (Karen Jacob) and brother (Gary Jacob) of Cleveland. She will be forever missed by her caring nieces and nephews, many cousins, dearest Cleveland and Tampa friends, and her "pride and joy" her 6 grandchildren Harold (8), Madeleine (5), Sydney (2), YsAC.e (1), Colton (1) and Alexander (10 months). Remember "Grandma loves you".

Services honoring the love and life of Sandra Bruck will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Congregation Schaarai Zedek, 3303 W. Swann Avenue, Tampa. Interment will follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery, Tampa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sandra Bruck Child Care Center at the JCC, 13009 Community Campus Drive, Tampa, FL 33625.
