Stanley Horowitz

It is with profound sadness that the family of Stan Horowitz announce the unexpected passing on May 2nd 2023, at his home. Stan was born on January 20th 1948 to Murray and Rhoda (Simensky) Horowitz.  His family immediately could tell his potential and love for music and helping others.  He began to gain a specific admiration and passion for records and music artists that followed into his initial career as a DJ in the late 60’s to early 70’s for radio stations. Stan entered into several colleges where he is an alumni from University of South Florida where he obtained multiple degrees in Mathematics, Education and Computer Engineering. He became involved in the community by teaching and sharing his kind soul to anyone he met.  Stan’s humor, unselfishness and contributions will forever leave an imprint on all of us.  Stan leaves behind two beautiful daughters, Anna Horowitz and Sarah Horowitz that deeply loved him.  He also leaves two granddaughters, Makenzie Cohen (12) and Willow Gottlieb (3) whom he loved dearly and always told everyone how proud he was of them.  He will be remembered by numerous relatives and friends and his congregation, Temple Kol Ami. A service will be held at Mount Nebo Cemetery in Miami on this Monday, May 8th 2023 at 1:00 PM.  

Memorial Donations may be made in Stan Horowitz’s name to Temple Kol Ami at 3919 Moran Road, Tampa Florida 33618, in his honor.
