Tanya Feldman

Tanya Wohl Feldman, 77, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2009. Mrs. Feldman was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Isidor and Esther Wohl, her brother, James Louis Wohl, and her husband, Saul Feldman. She was a life-long resident of Tampa. Tanya served as president of Louis Wohl and Sons, Inc. for ten years, and proudly cherished the tradition of her family. She was past president of the Tampa Junior Woman's Club, appointed by the Governor to serve on the Florida Human Rights Advocacy Committee, and served as secretary to Gulf Freight Association. Her memberships and board positions included Rodeph Sholom Sisterhood, the National Council of Jewish Women, the Tampa Woman's Club, Girls Clubs of Tampa, the Hillsborough Association of Retarded Citizens, the Tropical Gardens Club, USF Botanical Gardens, the Tampa Alzheimer Association, and Tampa Jewish Social Services. Tanya is survived by her four loving children, Kenneth Schwartz, Phillip Joseph and wife Kim Schwartz, Lawrence Wohl and wife Lisa Schwartz, and Jan Schwartz; eight grandchildren, Ethan, Sydney, Kyle, Robert, Hannah, Alexander, Andrew and Lisa; and one great grandchild, Phillip; first cousins, Mitch Kasreil, Ron Naveen, Jo Naveen Marble, Jesse Reisner, Ellin Reisner, Gary Simon, Kathy Lieberman, Michael Landau, Laurie Simon Goldman, Carol Schwartzman, Maury Simon, and Carol Rosenbloom. Tanya was a beloved mother, human rights advocate, and a gifted artist. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 18, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. at Rodeph Sholom Cemetery. Rabbi Marc Sack will officiate. The family will receive friends following the services at their home. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the USF Botanical Gardens, 4202 E.
