ROUTENBERG, Kerri Sue, 72, of Ruskin, passed away March 28, 2021. Kerri was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1949 and after high school attended Northern Illinois University where she obtained a bachelors degree in education. In 1970, she married David Routenberg and began her teaching career in the Chicago suburb of Dalton. In 1981 they moved to Florida, and she continued her teaching career in Broward County, where she also obtained her masters degree in education/computer science, until she retired and moved to Sun City, Florida. Kerri had a love for reading and greatly enjoyed participating in her book clubs. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Zelda Isaac, and daughter, Samara. Survivors include her two grandsons, Gavin and Conner, who were the loves of her life; daughter, Jennifer (Nicholas); brothers, Chuck (Barbara), and Alan (Helen); sister-in-law, Ruth (Harris); cousins, Cheryl, Cindy, Karen and Sandy; nephews, Scott, Andrew, Mathew, Todd, Evan, and Brian; niece, Davena, and 12 great nephews and neices. She also leaves behind many friends and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. A private memorial service will be held.
