Rosalind Millar

MILLAR, Rosalind "Roz", 79, loving mother, grandmother and friend passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 in Tampa, Florida. She was born in Fayetteville, NC to Louis and Sybil Green. Rosalind attended The University of Alabama, moved back to N.C. and married, before heading down to Florida where she spent the majority of her adult life.

After moving to Tampa in the late 1980’s, Rosalind worked for many years as an advertising specialist in marketing. But her creativity shined in all aspects of her life. With a natural flair for decorating Roz was sought out by many to help create the perfect home. She had a gift for organizing and enjoyed the challenge of arranging and revamping cluttered cabinets, closets and rooms. Her green thumb could coax even the most stubborn plant to flourish.

Roz loved the movies and lunching with the ladies. She was never without the perfect accessory to complement her array of chic outfits. She loved her home, her community and found great satisfaction participating in activities at Temple Schaarai Zedek.

Roz leaves behind so many loving friends in Tampa and beyond. She cherished their companionship and support. Over the past few years, she was especially thankful for her friendship with Thom, her neighbor for over 30 years. His help was greatly appreciated.

Rosalind will be remembered for her astute mind, her kind and generous spirit, and her beautiful smile that lit up every room. She will be greatly missed but will remain forever in our hearts.

Rosalind is survived by her daughter Holly Millar Ball of Austin Texas; grandchildren, Emily Millar, Allison Millar and Ryan Ball, sister; Beverly Harris and husband Joel of Asheville, NC, nephews; Jarret and Brandon Raab, and many other beloved family members.

Rosalind was preceded in death by her father Louis Green, mother Sybil Green, son Darryl Jeffrey Millar and former spouse, Thomas A. Millar.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Congregation Schaarai Zedek, Tampa Jewish Family Services or the charity of your choice.
